George Erdle founded GW Erdle and Associates in 1997. His main principal company is Erdle Perforating (now owned by Gibraltar Steel). In 1975, George founded this Charlotte operation called Erdle Perforating of Carolina, Inc. Erdle is a job shop, perforated metals company currently focusing on perforated architectural metals.
As a wine enthusiast, George writes for the NY Times Wine School column on a monthly basis. He offers his expertise to restaurant groups advising on their wine lists, and is currently serving as wine consultant to a well-known Charlotte-based restaurant group. In addition, he continues to produce charity wine auctions and tastings for a number of clients, some of which include rotary clubs, museums, and artists. He is available for consultation or production of additional wine events.
